Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Q: Why won’t one of my sprinkler zones turn on?

A: There are several potential answers to this including a faulty solenoid on the valve, a bad diaphragm, wire issue, controller issue, isolation valve off are among the culprits. We can troubleshoot that for you saving hours of frustration and trips to the store.

  2. Q: Why is water constantly leaking from my system?

A: Most likely you have a seeping valve. It could be from debris in it or a faulty diaphragm. Seeping valves are one of the biggest water waters since often they will go unnoticed for days or longer.

  3. Q: Can you repair drip irrigation systems in Saint George?

A: Sasquatch Sprinklers can repair leaks, replace emitters, balance volumes, and even replace the system when it becomes necessary.

  4. Q: Can a Smart controller actually lower my water bill in Southern Utah?

A: Absolutely! However, the controller must be properly configured to optimize water savings. Sometimes it will take a little bit to tweak the settings but they are very effective. Generally when a person says that they don’t work in this area, they have not configured the controller properly. Also, not all controllers are as “smart” as others. We can help you choose and configure your controller. Often people save between 25-60% on their water bill.

  5. Q: Why does my lawn have brown spots even though the sprinkler s run?

A: There could be a few reasons for this including grubs. Many will chime in about fungus but fungus is almost always improperly diagnosed. The most common thing I see causing this is inefficiency. A place may be getting some water but not as much as other places. Bad watering habits also create shallow roots which means a spot getting less water will brown rather quickly. We can help diagnose that problem and fix it so you are not dealing with it every summer.

  6. Q: Does Sasquatch Sprinklers offer free estimates?

A: For new installations and large repairs, we do offer free estimates. We do not troubleshoot or check emitters as part of a free estimate. We will offer an estimate once the troubleshooting is done to give you a total before all of the work starts so you are not blindsided with a large bill.
